Volume I · Established Apr 2026 · A non-profit Section 8 organisation

A creator collective for Marwari devotion & culture.

Live darshan from the temples that matter, the long-form reference behind them, and the voices keeping it alive.

marwaris.com is a non-profit creator collective. We curate live broadcasts and short-form reels from devotional channels we trust, alongside long-form encyclopedic entries on the temples, festivals, traditions, and yatras of the Marwari community. The site does not host advertising, will never charge for access, and treats every entry as something a grandchild might read fifty years from now.

What we mean by “reference”

Every entry is reviewed by a named editor and signed; sourced to vahis, primary correspondence, and academic literature where it exists; and treated as provisional where it doesn’t. The site refuses ads, engagement metrics, content gating, and the AI-generated material that has overrun its subject elsewhere.

  1. 01Sourced. Every claim cites — book, vahi, oral interview.
  2. 02Signed. Every entry has a named reviewer with their qualifications attached.
  3. 03Slow. A new entry passes through three drafts and a community read before publication.
  4. 04Open. Released CC BY-SA, with notice exceptions for living-tradition material.

Get involved

The collective runs on volunteer time and the trust of partner channels and households. Three ways in:

  • Become a partner channel

If you stream darshan, post short-form, or run a temple’s communications: apply for verification and we’ll cross-link your channel from every relevant entry.

  • Submit a correction or addition

Found a misattribution? An older vahi reference? A family story we should cite? Send it; reviewer credit is given.
